Why I chose The Vision of Wealth

I chose the name The Vision of Wealth because I believe the words, vision and wealth, are extremely important in day-to-day life and can be a backbone for people if used correctly. Here is some more detail on why I chose these two words.

The third definition of vision on the Merriam-Webster website is the one that I think truly defines it the best. The word vision by this definition states “the act or power of imagination.” What does this definition really mean? To me it means that we have the power to think of anything no matter the size and by just imagining it, we can make it a reality. Our brains are extremely powerful to the point where if we imagine something enough, we will start to believe in this vision. You have to envision what you want before it becomes a reality. Without a vision, you can and will get lost during the tough times of life. A vision is a roadmap for where you want to go and can keep you on track.

The definition of wealth by Merriam-Webster is, “abundance of valuable material possessions or resources.” Personally, this doesn’t state the true definition of wealth to me because this one is talking about nice cars, homes, boats, etc. Don’t get me wrong, having those things and wanting them is nice but it can lead to a very dark place. I think wealth goes way farther than toys we may want or buy with our money. The second definition is simply, “abundant supply.”  I believe this definition is the one that describes what wealth should actually mean to us.

Wealth is included in stuff that is deeper than any of the materialistic things we want to buy. These things can include our personal development, relationships, spirituality, and overall mindset on life. These things may be as small as waking up and being able to shower in hot water, getting to drive a car, or having a roof over our head. The things we overlook the most are where I find we can or should try to be the wealthiest.

If you haven’t already, go create a vision of what you want your life to be like in the future and look at that every day. I have been doing this for quite some time now and can honestly say it helps a ton. There is nothing in life that can bring me down because I know the end goal of what I want.

Go create your vision!

Be Great,

Jared Whitinger
